Dr. Fischer earned both her BS in Animal Science and her DVM from the University of Missouri. She has been a proud alumna of MIZZOU since 1971 and was one of only two women in her class. Dr. Fischer established Salt Lick Road Animal Clinic in 1985 before moving to Birdie Hills Road under the name Fischer Animal Hospital in 1997. In addition to our clinic cats, Dr. Fischer has two cats at home – Aggie and Annie. Her favorite dog breed is the schnauzer and she has a fondness for manatees and camels.
Dr. Meyer earned her BS in Animal Science and her DVM from the University Of Missouri in 1983. She has practiced with Dr. Fischer since 1989 but took time off to raise her three boys. When she is not at work, Dr. Meyer spends time with her family and cat Bikini.
Dr. Johnson earned her DVM from the University of Missouri in early 2013. She has extensive experience working in the veterinary field and is excited to start her career with Fischer Animal Hospital. Dr. Johnson loves pugs and has a sweet pug named Millie.
Dr. Surtin graduated
from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1973 and established Cave
Springs Chiropractic in 1974. He received his IVCA
Certification in 2004 and started practicing at Fischer Animal
Hospital. Dr. Surtin's favorite part of working with Fischer
Animal Hospital is being able to provide alternative care for
animals with spinal issues, and other joint problems, in the St.
Charles area. This is a service that has not been widely
available in the past.
Dr. Surtin has several dogs at home – Brussels Griffons named Alie, Indie, Izzie, Spike, and Ramsey and a boxer named McGwire.
Dr. Colleen Ulbricht is our relief vet – she works when our doctors need a weekend off. Dr. Ulbricht has her BA in Biology from Augustana College and graduated from the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She has worked with Fischer Animal Hospital since 2003. She has a boxer at home named Ruby. Dr. Ulbricht is also married to Dr. Robert Ulbricht, a veterinary dentist at Associated Veterinary Specialists.
